ITTO celebrated 25th anniversary of its establishment and held the symposium

ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organization, Yokohama, Executive Director Emmanuel Ze Meka) celebrated 25th anniversary of its establishment and held the symposium”Celebrating a Quarter Century of ITTO and Japan Sustaining Tropical Forests” in Yokohama on October 28th. About 200 people participated in the symposium. In the symposium, Dr. Freezailah (ITTO Executive Director, 1986 -1998) addressed ITTO’s history and evolution, ITTO needs more financial support by Japan and other members for achievement of sustainable forest management.
