The number of “forestry schools” increased to 18, improvement of the curriculums is considered

The number of forestry schools which are established by local governments to provide training and education throughout the year are increasing. Nichinan Municipal Forestry Academy opened in Tottori Prefecture on April 3 and forestry colleges started in Kumamoto and Miyazaki Prefectures, resulting in 18 schools throughout Japan. Discussions for improvement of the curriculums have been under way.
